Accessibility statement

What we aim for

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the public site and the examination portal.

• Every control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator
• Text meets AA contrast against its background throughout
• Form fields have real labels, and errors say what is wrong and how to fix it
• Content reflows to a single column without horizontal scrolling
• Motion is limited, and animation respects a reduced-motion preference

Known limitations

We would rather tell you these now than have you discover them mid-examination.

• Listening recordings are audio only. A candidate who cannot hear them cannot complete that section unaided — contact us before entering.
• Speaking requires audible speech. A candidate who cannot speak cannot complete that section unaided.
• The examination requires a camera and microphone, which may not suit every assistive setup.
• Section timers cannot be paused by the candidate. Extra time is arranged in advance.
• The invigilation panel's status indicators use colour supported by text, but the live level meter is visual only.

Reasonable adjustments

Adjustments are arranged before you enter, not during the examination. Depending on need we can extend section timers, arrange a modified or exempted section, or supervise a sitting individually.

Write to candidates@celptest.org at least five working days before you intend to sit, describing what you need rather than what you have. Supporting evidence helps but a diagnosis is not always necessary.

If something on this site is unusable, tell us at support@celptest.org. Describe the page and what happened. We treat access faults as defects, not feature requests.

This statement describes the site as built and has not yet been independently audited. An external audit should be commissioned before publication.
