  • Unlimited verification of that report by any organisation you send it to

Charged separately

  • A second attempt, if you wish to sit the examination again
  • An enquiry on results, where one is requested
  • Any charge your own bank or card issuer applies for a currency conversion

Payment terms

When payment is taken
The fee is taken in full at the time of registration. Your entry is confirmed once payment clears, and you may begin the examination immediately or return to it later using the link we email you.
One entry per fee
One payment covers one attempt at the examination by one named candidate. Entries are not transferable to another person. Sitting the practice paper is free and unlimited, and does not use up your entry.
Refunds
The fee is refundable in full at any time before you start the examination. Once the first section has opened, the fee is not refundable — the paper has been issued and examiner time has been committed.
If something goes wrong
Where a technical fault on our side prevents you from completing the examination, the attempt is voided and you may sit it again at no further charge. Where the fault is with your own device or connection we will consider the circumstances, but a further attempt cannot be guaranteed. Report any problem the same day.
What the fee does not buy
The fee pays for assessment, not for a particular outcome. A band is assigned on the evidence of your performance, and no result is guaranteed by having paid.
Payment security
Payment is handled by our payment provider. The board does not see, handle or store your card details at any point.

These conditions sit alongside the terms of entry, which govern how the examination itself is conducted and marked. Where the two differ on a question of assessment, the terms of entry apply.

Before you pay

The practice paper is free, uses different questions, and takes the same twenty-eight minutes. Sitting it first is the simplest way to be sure your camera, microphone and connection are up to the examination — and that the format holds no surprises.
